Money Shot (Hard Case Crime)

It's no Chandler, but it's a decent way to pass some time. A distinct female voice offers a unique experience, but overall the prose is no poetry.

Considering Christa Faust's louche background, you'd think that she could write an entertaining dirty book, but no. The retro-50s-cover depicts a naked woman pointing a pistol, and she looks to be not just a bad girl, but downright evil.

I missed out on most of the first year or so of Hard Case Crime's titles. I discovered them when they published Stephen King's The Colorado Kid, but only picked up those early titles intermittently.
